Sri Gangai Amman Temple is located on the left of the main road when one comes from Katpadi to Vandranthangal.  There is a name board displaying the name of the Temple and near it is an Amman Statue.  Very near to this there are two pillars and on top of each pillar is a sitting Lion Idol.  On the right side is a huge Idol of Muneeswaran built in the open.  He is found with an Aruvaal or Sickle in His right hand and a Mace in His left hand.  There are two Horsemen and two Horses Idols as if guarding this area.  Two Bhairavar statues along with the Serpant God Naagar are also kept on the same pedestal on which the Muniswaran Idol is placed.  The Presiding Deity of Sri Gangai Amman is placed in the Sanctum Sanctorum of the building.   They have a small grill gate for the Main Deity.  Opposite to the Gangai Amman is a tiled elevated pedestal upon which a Trident is placed.  The adjoining building to the Sanctum Sanctorum houses the Temple Car and the Kovil Vaahanam.  There is a huge Sacred Tree beneath which the Idols of Naga Devathas are kept and this place is enclosed with black stones.  Close to it is a Naagar Puthu which has been smeared with Turmeric and Kumkum.

Within the same complex is another small Temple for Sri Gangaikonda Easwarar and He is an incarnation of Lord Shiva.  He is kept in the Sanctum Sanctorum of the building in the form of a Shiva Lingam.  His Consort here is Goddess Periyanayaki who is an incarnation of Goddess Parvathy and She is placed in an adjoining small Sub Shrine.  There is an Idol of Ganesha and Murugan close to the Sanctum Sanctorum and facing the Shiva Lingam is a Nandhi with a Bali Peedam.  There are Sub Shrines for Dhakshinamoorthy, Lingothbavar, Durgai, Chandikeshwarar, Kaala Bhairavar and Suryan.  There is a Navagraha enclosure placed on a pedestal. All the Gopurams of this Temple is painted with a golden colour.  Both the Temples are run by the same Trustees.
