The Presiding Deity of this Temple is Lord Irattai Thaleeswarar an incarnation of Lord Shiva. Sri Irattai Thaleeswarar Blesses His Devotees along with His Consort Goddess Manonmani Ammai. Sri Irattai Thaleeswarar is in the form of a self manifested Swayambhumoorthy and is East facing. The Shrine of the Sri Manonmani Ambal is South facing. This Temple has two entrance, one facing East and the other facing North and Devotees are allowed to enter this Temple through both entrance. Though this Temple is too small the inscriptions of the Temple dates back to Raja Raja Chola and Rajendra Chola Era. This Temple was kept closed for a very long time and has been reopened for Devotees sake just for the past 20 years. This Temple has Sub Shrines for Varasidhi Vinayagar, Sarvamangala Yoga Dakshinamurthy, Iyyappan, Raahu, Kethu, Sri Selva Vinayakar, Sri Subramaniyar along with His Consorts Valli and Devasena, Naalvar, Navagraham, Suryan, Bhairavar, Vaarahi, Sanjivirayar, Saneeswarar, Narthana Vinayagar, Maha Vishnu, Brahmma, Chandikeshwarar, Goddess Ashtabhuja Vishnu Durgai and Rudhra Durgai. Though the incriptions here date back to Chola Period, the Vinayaka Idol pertains to the Pallava Period. This Temple is well maintained and kept meticulously clean. Purattasi Navarathri, Aavani Moolam, Chithirai Vishu, Aadi Thapasu, Thaipoosam, Panguni Brahmmothsavam, Pradosham, Maha Shivarathiri, Thei Pirai Ashtami, Panchami are the festivals that are celebrated in a grand manner.
