The Presiding Deity of this Temple is Sundareshwarar who is an incarnation of Lord Shiva. He Blesses His Devotees along with His Consort Goddess Meenatchi. Though Sundareswarar being the Presiding Deity His Consort Goddess Meenakshi has more importance. This Temple is located in Chinnakadai in Gandhi Street and this Temple has become  major landmark of Paramakudi. Though being a small Temple it has a three tiered Rajagopuram. at the East entrance. This Temple has a huge open Mandapam in front of the Sanctum Sanctorum. The Presiding Deity here is a Self Manifested Swayambu Lingam. This Temple has a Single Praharam and like other Temple there are separate Shrines for the Presiding Deity and His Consort  who face East.  This Temple is located on the Southern Banks of River Vaigai. There are Sub Shrines for Gods and Goddesses like Vinayakar, Surya, Naalvar, Saraswathi and Mahalakshmi, Bhairavar, Anjaneya, Chandran and Navagrahas.  Lord Murugan can be seen along with His Consorts.  In Kostam Vinayakar, Dakshinamoorthy, Lingothbavar, Brahma, Durga and Chandikeswarar can be seen. The Vaigai River is considered as the Theertham of this Temple.
