Peramandur is located a few Kilometers away from the Main Road from Thindivanam and it is a very small village with narrow mud roads. The Temple is also called as Sree Ambujavalli Thaayar Samedha Adhi Varaga Perumal Temple.  The Temple does not have any Rajagopuram.  There is a small Gopuram and there are two small grill gates on either side of it.  Beyond it is a Bali Peedam and a tall metallic Dwajasthambam.  Next to it is an Idol of Garudalwar facing the Sanctum Sanctorum.  The Presiding Deity of Varaha Perumal is East facing but the entrance to the Sanctum Sanctorum is from the South only.  The Maha Mandapam consists of around 16 pillars.  There is a Thulabaara facility here.  The ceiling of the Maha Mandapam has an etching wherein a Serpant is seen swallowing the Moon.  On the threshold of the Sanctum Sanctorum is a pair of Sangu and Chakaram made out of black stones.  The Dwara Baalakas are found on either side of the Moolasthanam.  There are Idols of Aacharyans here. Within the Sanctum Sanctorum the Main Deity of Sri Aadhi Varaha Perumal looks majestic and grandeur.  He is seen in a standing posture with Thaayar seated on His left lap.  Apart from this there are a set of Urchavamoorthis Idols which are used on festive occasions.  The outer peripheral is neat and tidy and well cemented. On the western end of the outer peripheral is a Sub Shrine for His Consort Ambujavalli Thaayar.  Likewise in a similar Sub Shrine to that of the Thaayar, Aandal is seen.  Opposite to the Aandal Sub Shrine there is a Sub Shrine for Sri Baktha Anjaneyar on the Eastern side of the Temple. There is a Naga Devatha Idol close to this place.  A Temple well could be seen and this is made use of for cooking and keeping the premises clean.  There is a small Madapalli or Temple Kitchen used for making Prasadams for Devotees visiting this Temple.  Close to it is a Vaahana Mandapam. The Maha Samprokshanam for this Temple was conducted on 8th May 2017. The Temple has been built several centuries ago in a remote hamlet and the Devotees visiting this Temple are far and few.  It is pathetic that due to poor patronage there are no shops selling flowers, garlands etc close to the Temple. Hence outstation visitors who could afford are requested to buy flowers, garlands and oil etc to show their support for this Temple.  People residing in Peramandur say that this Temple is more than 1300 years old. Thiru Sudhakar Bhattachariar who looks after the religious side of the Temple does all sorts of cleaning work too and he has to be immensely appreciated for the dint of his hard work. It is believed that people who wish to buy properties such as land, house or flats come here and Pray before His Almighty. The Temple is also considered as a Raahu Kethu Parihaara Sthalam.  The Main Deity of Varaha Perumal gets smeared fully with Sandhana Kaapu on the 3rd Saturday of every Purattasi Tamil Month.
