Sri Abhaya Narasimhaswamy Temple is located in SIPCOT II of Moranapalli on the outskirts of Hosur. It is a East facing Vaishnava Temple pertaining to Abaya Narasimha Swamy. It is an ancient Temple dating back to centuries ago but has been recently refurbished. There is a tall stone Dwajasthambam, a small Neivedhya Peedam, a pair of Divine Feet and a four pillared Mandapam with a Garudalwar Sannadhi facing the Moolasthanam. Devotees may have to climb 5 to 6 steps and on either side of these steps are two Elephant Idols. The East facing Sanctum Sanctorum has a pair of Dwara Baalakas with two gold plated thresholds. There is a gold plated Sangu and Chakkaram on either side with a Gajalakshmi Idol at the centre and these gold plated ornamental platings are a real feast to the eyes of the Devotees seeing them. The Presiding Deity of Sri Narasimha Swamy looks resplendent and is made out of a black stone. He is seen in a Abhaya Hasta sitting posture and hence He is called Abaya Narasimha Swamy. There is a small Swayambhu Narasimha Idol placed beneath the main Presiding Deity. This Swayambhu Narasimhar Idol was initially the Presiding Deity and is still kept here within the Sanctum Sanctorum. Just before the Moolasthanam the Idols of Acharyas and Vishvaksenar are kept. A Urchavar Narasimha Swamy Idol is found on a Palanquine. There is a Chakrathalwar and a Yoga Narasimhar kept back to back. There are two sets of Sri Varadaraja Perumal along with Sri Devi and Bhoo Devi. Beneath one of these Sri Varadaraja Perumal Idol is a Urchavar Idol of Udayavar. The Temple has a Sorga Vaasal meant for Vaikunda Ekadesi and this is on the Northern side. During Vaikunda Ekadesi days the Temple authorities display a reclining Pallikonda Ranganathar for the sake of the Devotees. It has a small stage on the outer peripheral where simple Divine functions could be held with ease. Though it is an ancient Temple it has been recently renovated and the entire flooring of the Temple is lit up with dazzling black granite stones. Even the inner ceiling of the roof has been painted with various colours which is eye captivating. The Temple has a Meditation Hall or a Dyana Mandapam. It also has a Temple Kitchen to serve Prasadams and Annadhanam on festive days. The Temple has a Pushkarani or a Sacred Tank which is known as Moranapalli Narasimha Perumal Theppakulam. The Temple also has a small Temple Car or a Chariot. On the security side the Temple has a compound wall with a firm grill gate. Since there is a vacant space outside the Temple vehicular parking would never be an issue here. Chittrirai Swathy Nakshathra Brahmmothsavam, Vaikunda Ekadesi are some of the festivals that are celebrated here with great fanfare.
