The Temple is located in Chinnalapatti, a busy Saree Weaving centre in Dindigul District. The Presiding Deity is known as Sri Viswaroopa Anjali Varadha Anjaneyar. Some refer Him as Viswaroopa Anjaneyar. The Main Deity is imposing and stands around 16 feet tall. The Deity is made of Saligrama stones brought from near River Gandaki in Nepal. It is astounding because Saligrama Stones of this size is never available in India. Devotees still wonder how this big a Presiding Deity is made of Saligramam. He stands with Folded Hands with His Mace resting on His thigh. His Eyes are Sparkling Black and seem to follow His Devotees. He is installed in such a way that He could be seen from a far distance too. There is a fabled history which says that a Chunk or Part of Sanjeevani Hill had fallen here when Anjaneya Swamy was carrying it to Sri Lanka for the sake of Lakshmana and others. Devotees throng here on Saturdays and other holidays to have a glimpse of Him. Butter and Vada Malai are His Choicest Alankarams. The Deity is decorated with Fruits and Flowers on selected days. The Temple is unique since photography is permitted inside the Sanctum too. The Temple is quite small but is kept neat and tidy. The Bhattachariars of this Temple have to appreciated for decorating the huge Idol of Sri Anjali Varada Anjaneyar with colourful robes making it a Rajaa Alankaaram. Sri Rama Navami, Hanumath Jayanthi are some of the festivals that are celebrated with great fanfare.
