Sri Atcheeswarar is also known as Sri Aatchipureeswarar Temple and it is located in Achrapakkam which is a distant town in Chengalpattu District. This Temple has a five tiered Rajagopuram. This is a unique Temple comprising of two Presiding Deities. The Presiding Deities of this Temple is Sri Atcheeswarar and Umai Atcheeswarar and they both can be seen in two different Sanctum Sanctorum. They Bless their Devotees along with their Consorts Ilangili Ammai and Umayambigai. This Temple is considered as the 29th Thevara Paadal Petra Sthalam.  This Temple has been praised by Thirugnanasambandar. Sri Aatcheeswarar is also called as Sri Atchipureeswarar, Acheswarar, Achu Kondu Arulia Thevar. There is a Sub Shrine for Sri Vinayaka and He is known here as Achu Muri Vinayaka. Sri Srinivasa Perumal can be seen along with His Consort Alamelumangai Thaayar. It is believed that Devotees will get good administrative skills and will shine great in the field of education if they come and worship here. The ten day Chithirai Brahmmothsavam and Special Poojas on New Moon and Full Moon days are performed in this Temple.
