Sri Eri Katha Ramar Temple, Thiruninravur, Tiruvallur District, Tamil Nadu

The Temple is located in a lovely ambience next to a lake in Thirunindravoor which is also called as Thinnanur in local parlance.  The Presiding Deity here is Lord Rama who is an incarnation of Lord Vishnu. The Temple is located on the banks of Thiruninravur Lake. It is believed that Lord Rama saved Thiruninravur from the lake breach during monsoon with a spate of arrows. The Temple has a modern architeture but lacks a Gopuram and a Vimanam unlike other Temples. Saint Ramanujar's disciple Mudaliyandan was closely associated with this Temple. There is a Mandapam in the front which is dilapidated & is full  of filth and garbage. There is a Sub Shrine for Lord Anjaneya which faces the Sanctum Sanctorum. There is a temporary tin sheet roofing and the Temple is covered on all 4 Sides with a compound wall. A deep well and a tiled seat is available for the sake of the Devotees. The Sculptures on the walls are crafted and painted beautifully. The Outer Praharam meant for the Devotee's Circumambulation has been cemented & constructed well. Lord Vishnu and an Elephant depicting Gajendra Moksham is being done in an eye captivating manner. This Temple follows the Thenkalai Tradition of Vaishinavism. The Temple has a Varuna Pushkarni along with a small mandapam built in the center of it. It will be a boon for the Devotees if the Temple is opened little earlier like any other Temple, since now the Temple opens only  around 9 A.M or thereafter since the Bhattachariar is said to come from a distant place away from Thiruninravur.
