Sri Naagathamman Temple is located on the arterial road in Sunguvarchatram which is close to Sriperumbudur in Kanchipuram District. This is a North facing Temple in Sunguvarchatram. The Temple does not have any Rajagopuram, Dwajasthambam etc. Two stucco Idols of the Dwara Baalakis are seen facing North. Apart from this there are multiple stucco Idols of Sri Nagathamman all around the Temple and they look gorgeous. Devotees they have to climb 3 or 4 steps to reach the Temple premises. A Trident is seen fixed to the ground here. There are two huge wooden doors which are carved intricately. On a podium facing the Moolasthanam is a Neivedhya Peedam and a Simha Vaahanam looking Southwards. On the base of the podium there is a North facing Idol of Sri Nagathamman who was kept several decades ago in a hut during the initial stages of the Temple. At the threshold of the Moolasthanam are two huge coloured Idols of Dwara Baalakis. The top of the threshold has an Idol of Sri Nagathamman in a seated posture. In the North facing Sanctum Sanctorum is a podium on which the Presiding Deity of Sri Nagathamman is seen in a seated posture and She looks Sublime. Beneath the podium is a Idol of Naga Devatha. The Urchavamoorthy Vigraham of Sri Nagathamman is also kept in the Moolasthanam. Around the Koshtam of Sri Nagathamman there are Idols of an East facing Sri Narthana Vinayagar and Sri Koumari, a South facing Idol of Sri Maheshwari, and a West facing Idol of Sri Vaishnavi and Sri Durgai. Atop the Idol of Sri Maheswari a Paambu Putru is seen. The Vimanam of the Moolasthanam of Sri Naagathamman Temple is well designed like a Gopuram. The ceiling of the Maha Mandapam has Images of the 12 Raasis and close to it is an Image of a coiled Serpant.

To the rear of the Moolasthanam there are two North facing Sub Shrines. The first Sub Shrine is that of Sri Vaaraahi Amman and the sebsequent Sub Shrine is that of Sri Prathyangira Devi. Both these Sub Shrines are much sought after by the Devotees. The inner corridor of the Temple has lovely coloured Idols of Sri Ganapathy, Sri Murugan and various other Goddesses. Likewise the outer wall of the Temple too consists of various Idols of different Gods making the Temple look gorgeous. There is a Sacred Paambhu Putru on one side of the Temple. This Temple is a private Temple managed by the local villagers. Tamil Month of Aadi is considered very sacred and during this Month the Temple attracts lots of Devotees not only from Sunguvarchatram bur also from other nearby places.
