Sree Narsimha Swami Temple is located close to Vijayawada City and it is in Guntur District. There is a motorable ghat road leading from the foot hills to the Temple top. There is a Welcome Arch at the start of the ghat road. Devotees have the option of climb all their way up to the Temple for which they may have to climb more tha 400 steps. The Temple administration collects a fee for using their ghat road from all motorists. Devotees may have to walk around 100 metres from the parking area to the Temple premises for which the Temple authorites have erected a tin sheet roofing. There is a East facing name board of the Temple and there are rows of shops there selling Temple souvenirs, Flowers, Garlands and all other Divine articles. On the way leading to the Temple premises are few Neem Trees which are revered and smeared with Turmeric and Kumkum. The Mangalagiri Narasimha Swamy Temple is a group of three Temples and considered as one of the eight most sacred Shrines of Lord Vishnu. It is located on a small hill range called Mangalagiri Hills which means auscipious Hills. It is believed that Yudhistra alias Dharmar, the eldest among the Pancha Pandavas had come to this place and had installed the Idol of Lakshmi Narasimha Swamy. The Lakshmi Narasimha Swamy Temple at the foot hills is the first and foremost Temple which has to be visited and Prayed. At the foot hill Lord Narasimhar Blesses His Devotees along with His Consort Goddess Lakshmi. The Panakala Narashima Swamy Temple can be seen at the mid point of this Hillock and atop the hill we can see the Gandala Narasimha Swamy Temple. At the mid point of Panakala Narasimha Swamy Temple there is a multi pillared Mandapam with a tall Dwajasthamabam or Flag Staff. There are two Garudalwar Idols located closeby. Most of the days there is a serpentine queue and Devotees can opt for a free darshan or a paid darshan. Devotees may have to climb around 10 steps to reach the Moolasthanam of Sri Panakala Narasimha Swamy which is South facing. This Panakaala Narasimha Swami is a South facing Swayambhumoorthy. There are two silver plated thresholds leading to the Sanctum Sanctorum of Sri Panagala Narasimha Swami. While one silver plated threshold bears the Images of Dasavatharam the other threshold bears the Images of Nava Narasimhar. The unique fact of Panagala Narasimha Swamy Temple is that whole of Narasimha Idol is covered using a Metal sheet and only his 15 cm mouth can be seen wide open. Devotees find it astounding since if they pour Jaggery Water or Paanagam they could hear a gurgling sound and the water is taken in fully but the Idol gives out almost half of the Jaggery Water as a Prasadam to the Devotees. Devotees who wish to pour Paanagam have to pay a fee for it. They are offered this Paanagam to drink as a Prasadam, but in case the Devotees wish to carry the Paanagam home they may have to pay and additional fee for the bottle which the Temple provides. Another point of interest is there is no spilling or pouring on the floor of the Temple and it is surprising that the floor is not that sticky. Likewise no ants or other insects are found because of this. After visiting Sri Panagala Narasimha Swami the Devotees may have to climb more than 30 steps to reach the Shrine of Rajalakshmi Ammavaru. The Ammavaru Shrine has a silver plated threshold and She looks resplendent. Midway a beautifully sculpted Idol of Anjaneya Swamy is embossed on the walls of the Temple. Close to the Shrine of Rajalakshmi Ammavaru is a small and dark cave. Within the cave are few Idols of various other Gods. It is difficult for the Devotees to view these Idols since the cave is dark and since the Devotees have to bend a lot. Close to this is another East facing Anantha Sayana Ranganathar Idol. There is no Presiding Deity in Gandala Narashima Swamy and this Temple is only open to Devotees to light Deepam. There is a huge car parking at the Temple top and nearly 100 vehicles could be parked there with ease. Festivals like Brahmothsavam, Sri Rama Navami, Hanuman Jayanthi, Mahashivaratri, Narasimha Jayanthi, Vaikunta Ekadashi, Santha Narasimha Swamy Kalyanam are celebrated in a grand manner.
