The Temple is surrounded by lush green agricultural lands thereby leaving a calm atmosphere in the minds of Devotees visiting here. This Temple has a welcome arch where we can see Lord Shiva sitting along with His Consort Parvathi and Lord Ganesha and Murugan on the either Side. The Presiding Deity of this Temple is Neelakandeswarar and He is an incarnation of Lord Shiva. He is found in the form of a Divine Shiva Lingam. He Blesses His Devotees along with His Consort Goddess Neelayadakshi Ambal. There is a Nandhi Vaahanam facing the Sanctum Sanctorum. Though its an ancient Temple, it is well maintained till date.  This Temple has separate Shrine for the Presiding Deity and His Consort. There are Sub Shrines for, Naalvar, Kanni Moola Ganapathy and Murugan along with Valli and Devanai. Around the Koshtam there are Idols for Ganapathy, Dhakshinamoorthy, Maha Vishnu, Brahmma, Durgai and Chandikeshwarar.  Apart from this there is a Navagraha enclosure too.
