Sri Pon Varadaraja Perumal Temple is located in a residential locality of Rasipuram. Some call this Temple as Sri Devi Bhoo Devi Samedha Pon Varatharaja Perumal Temple. The Temple has a five tiered East facing Rajagopuram. There is a stone Dwajasthambam beneath which the Idols of Anjaneya Swamy, Sangu, Chakkaram and Garudalwar Idols are embossed. Opposite to the Temple there is a Ganapathy Idol and a few Naga Devatha Idols. There is a huge multi pillared Mandapam in which the Neivedya Peedam or Bali Peedam and a Dwajasthambam or Kodi Maram are seen. Beyond it are a pair of black dazzling Idols of Simha Vaahanam which are eye captivating. This Temple is said to be more than 7500 years old and it is believed that Saint Ramanujar had come to this Temple to seek the Blessings of Pon Varadharaja Perumal. Poet Padikaasu had sung in praise of this Temple. At the threshold of the Moolasthanam there are to Dwara Baalaka Idols. Pon Varadharaja Perumal is an incarnation of Maha Vishnu and He could be seen in the Moolasthanam in a standing posture and flanked by His Consorts Sri Devi and Bhoo Devi. It is generally said that any Devotees coming to this Temple would be Blessed by Sri Pon Varadaraja Perumal and they would soon get rid of all their debts and possess wealth in abundance. In the Mukha Mandapam the Idols of Alwars and the Urchavamoorthies are neatly displayed. The outer peripheral is getting constructed gradually. Most of the Mandapams have huge pillars and intricately carved Idols are embossed on these pillars making it look eye captivating. There is a Sub Shrine comprising of Chakkrathalwar and Yoga Narasimhar. In the same outer peripheral there is a North facing Sundara Anjaneyar's Shrine in which He is seen in a standing posture. Apart from this there is an East facing Panchamuga Anjaneyar who has five different faces viz. Garudan, Varahar, Anjaneyar, Narasimhar and Hayagreevar. There is a North facing Sub Shrine for Lakshmi Hayagreevar. There are different Sub Shrines for Sri Ayyapa Swamy and Lakshmi Narasimhar and both of them are East facing. Another North facing Sub Shrine of Vishnu Durgai is also seen. The Lakshmi Kuberan Sannadhi and the Dhanvanthri Perumal who is South facing attract a lot of Devotees. The Temple has an exclusive Sorga Vaasal or Paramapatha Vaasal. The Sthala Viruksham of this Temple is a Punnai Maram. This Temple does ot have a Sacred Tank or Pushkarani. The Temple has its own Temple Chariot. There are a lot of vacant spaces around this Temple and hance vehicular parking is easy. Vaikunda Ekadesi, Chitthirai Brahmmothsavam and all Purattasi Saturdays draw a lot of Devotees. Though this Temple comes under the HR & CE all the civil construction work in the Temple and on its outer peripheral are borne by Upayadhars and Devotees only.
