The full name of the Temple is Sri Devi Bhoo Devi Samedha Sri Vaigundavasa Perumal Temple. This Temple is located in a hamlet called R.Kunnathur which is in Polur Taluk of Thiruvannamalai District. The Temple is located in a residential locality and Devotees may have to wade through several narrow streets to reach the Temple premises. There is a coloured Gopuram with the coloured Idols of Sri Vaikundavasa Perumal flanked by Sri Devi and Bhoo Devi. Apart from this there is a Garudalwar with two Thirumann and Srichurnam and Sangu and Chakkaram. Sri Vaikundavasa Perumal Temple is a East facing Temple but it does not have a Rajagopuram. They have erected tin sheets in the frontal portion and on the flanks of the Temple. To begin with there is a stone Dwajasthambam or Kodi Maram. Devotees may have to climb a few steps to reach the Temple premises. There is a Neivedhya Peedam or Bali Peedam and a Dwajasthambam or Flag Staff. Beyond it there is a small four pillared Mandapam in which Garudalwar faces the Moolasthanam. The Maha Mandapam just before the Sanctum Sanctorum is gorgeously coloured with different paints. Each of the pillar in this Maha Mandapam contains a coloured Idol of Ashtalakshmi and they look so captivating to the eyes of any Devotees. On entering the Sanctum Sanctorum there are two huge coloured Idols of Dwara Baalakaas. On top of this entrance ther is a coloured Idol of Gajalakshmi. There are two more black Dwara Baalaga Idols at the threshold leading to the Sanctum Sanctorum. In the Moolasthanam the Presiding Deity of Sri Vaikundavasa Perumal is seated facing East and flanked by His Consorts Sri Devi and Bhoo Devi. He is seen with four hands holding a Sangu and Chakkaram in two of them. His right lower arm indicating the Abaya Hastha Posture, His left lower hand is placed on His left thigh. In the Moolasthanam the Urchavamoorthy of Sri Vaikundavasa Perumal along with His Consorts Sree Devi and Bhoo Devi are seen. The Urchavamoorthy of Sri Vaikundavasa Perumal is believed to be around 1300 years old. Apart from this there is another Idol of Selvar. In the Ranga Mandapam the Idols of Visvaksenar, Sudharshanar, Nammalwar, Andal, Thirumangai Alwar and Ramanujar could be seen. It is interesting to note that most of these Idols were dug out and excavated from the Earth. The Temple has an exclusive Madapalli and they serve Prasadams to all Devotees who come to this Temple. There is a well maintained Ghoshala in the outer peripheral. There is ample space for vechicular parking. Brahmmothsavam, Vasanthosavam, Masi Magam are some of the festivals that are celebrated in a grand manner.
