This Temple is also called as Shri Varatharaja Perumal Kovil. The Presiding Deity of this Temple is Lord Varadharaja Perumal who is an incarnation of Lord Vishnu. He is West facing and He Blesses His Devotees along with His Consort Perundevi Thaayar. The Presiding Deity, Varadaraja Perumal is known as Theenda Thirumeni Perumal since even today Battachariyar also can never touch the body of this Perumal. Every Karthigai Month Thirumeni Perumal is applied and covered with Thaila Kappu. The Temple has another Shrine for Srinivasa Perumal who is East facing and considered on par with the Moolavar and He Blesses His Devotees along with His Consorts Sri Devi and Bhoo Devi. This Temple has a Shrine for Lakshmi Narayana Perumal who is South facing. The Uthchvar of this Temple is known as Prana Hathi Haran and He is also called as Kannoli Perumal since eye problems of Devotees visiting this Temple are set to be cured. This Temple also has Shrines for Lord Narayana who can be seen along with His Consort Lakshmi and Saint Vishvaksenar. Lord Krishna can be seen along with Rukmani. There are Sub Shrines for Andal, Chakrathalwar, Yoga Narasimhar and Periya Thiruvadi. Lord Garudan can be seen infront of the Sanctum Sanctorum and Lord Hanuman is found as a Swayambumoorthy here. Though Siruvapuri is famous for Murugan Temple, Devotees visiting this Siruvapuri never fail to visit this Varadharaja Perumal Temple in order to complete their Divine Trip. The Temple has a compound wall fitted with a wooden gate. It also has a Temple Garden or Nandavanam.
There are hardly few Devotees visiting this Temple despite the fact that it has been taken over by the State Government. Hence Devotees coming from outstation could call the below mentioned numbers so that they can have an uninterrupted darshan in this Temple. Normally otherwise the Main Gate of the Temple is kept open whereas the Sanctum Sanctorum and other Sub Shrines are kept under lock and key by the Temple Pujari.
