Sri Venkateswara Samy Temple is also known as Dhakshina Tirupati or Thennaga Thirupathi. However local villagers in and around this area prefer to call it as Chinna Tirupathi. The Presiding Deity of this Temple is Lord Sri Venkateshwara Perumal and He is an incarnation of Lord Vishnu. This is a hill Temple located on a small hillock on the banks of River Ponnaiyar. The Presiding Deity of this Temple is exactly a replica of Sri Tirupathi Balaji Temple. The Presiding Deity or the Moolavar is all alone in the Sanctum Sanctorum and facing Him on the opposite direction is Lord Garudalwar. There are Idols for the Urchavar who is seen along with His two Consorts Sri Devi and Bhoo Devi. There is another Idol for Padmavathy Thaayar standing next to the Urchavamoorthy. Though the Temple is a newly constructed one, the Power of this Deity is Sky High. On entering the premises there is a Dwajasthambam, Bali Peedam with a small chiseled idol of Gaja Lakshmi. The Main Temple is built on an elevated pedestal and hence the Devotees may have to climb 5 to 6 steps. This Temple is located in a beautiful environment filled with lush green grasses and full of tall trees surrounding the Temple complex. A Welcome Arch is found on the National Highway leading us to this Temple. To control the Devotees on special occasions the Temple Administration have put up railing at several places and the Devotees have to reach the Sanctum Sanctorum through here in a queue formation. The entire Temple is tiled very neatly. There is another annexe building which is also tiled in black and brown stones and it has a temporary tinned roofing. Functions and other Divine rituals could be conducted here. The Temple also has a Madapalli or a Temple Kitchen. Water facilities too is provided to the Devotees. There is a motorable ghat road to reach the Hilltop and to reach this Temple. There are 2 Parking areas for this Temple. Buses and such larger vehicles could be parked at a place where there are few shops selling Pooja articles, Flowers, Garlands etc. Cars could be driven further beyond this point where they have a cemented place for car parking. Vaikunda Ekadasi is celebrated in a grand manner here. People from both Karnataka and Tamil Nadu visit this Temple since it is located close to the border of both these States.
