The Presiding Deity of this Temple is Lord Ranganatha Swamy and He is an incarnation of Lord Vishnu. He Blesses His Devotees along with His Consort Goddess Godha Devi. This Temple is located on a small hillock and Devotees visiting this Temple need to climb the steps to reach the Sanctum Sanctorum.  The place where the Sanctum Sanctorum is actually situated is a cave and Lord Ranganatha Swamy can be seen here in a reclining posture and He is 5 feet tall here.   This Temple is surrounded by lush green hills and forestry and it is said that this Temple is more than 500 years old.  Since the Presiding Deity and His Consort are said to come out of a Ant Hill from inside this cave,  This Temple is known as Swayambhu Sri Ranganathaswamy Temple.
