She Blesses Her Devotees in a Veetrirundha Posture inside the Sanctum Sanctorum. This Temple is Located on the Heart of Thoothukudi City. Since the Presiding Deity is facing the Theppam or Pond hance the Name theppakula Mari Amman. The Presiding Deity itself is 650 years old.Initially this Temple was a Temporary Complex later many Devotees came together and built this beautiful Temple of the Goddess. It is believed that all 16 types of wealth will be provided to the Devotees visiting this Temple. There is a huge Sacred Tank in fron of this Temple.
