Kanyakumari is the Southern tip of India and hence it gains a lot of Historical and Tourists importance. At the outset Sri Thirupathi Venkateshwara Temple in Kanyakumari has a well designed and beautiful Welcome Arch. The construction of this Temple began in the year 2013 at a rough estimate of Rs.22.5 Crore. This Temple is built on a whopping 5.5 acres of land and hence looks well designed and eye captivating. The Presiding Deity of this Temple is Sri Tirupathi Venkateshwara Perumal who is an incarnation of Maha Vishnu. The entire flooring the Temple complex looks sparkling and the Devotees feel its a treat to watch this Temple. Devotees who wish to reach the Temple may have to climb roughly around 50 steps. This Temple is devoid of a Rajagopuram. At the outset there is a Neivedhya Peedam, a huge Dwajasthambam and a Garudalwar Sannadhi looking towards the Moolasthanam. The Moolasthana Maha Mandapam is built on a multi pillared Mandapam. The Gopuram of this multi pillared Mandapam has an Idol of Sri Venkateshwara Perumal in a standing posture. In the Sanctum Santorum the Presiding Deity of Tirupathi Venkateshwara Perumal is seen in a standing posture and He looks resplendent and dazzling to the eyes of the Devotees. This Temple comes under the control Tirumala Tirupathi Devasthanam or TTD. There are facilities for Tonsuring and Thulaabaaram. The Laddu which is offered as a Prasadam to the Devotees visiting this Temple, comes directly from TTD Tirupathi. The Temple has a Annadhana Koodam and a well maintained Ghoshala. The Temple also has its own Pushkarani or Sacred Tank. This Temple has been beautifully engineered and built in such a way that on every 14th of April the Sun Rays falls directly on the Divine Feet of the Presiding Deity of Tirupathi Venkateshwara Perumal. Since Kanyakumari is a Tourist Centre there is a steady inflow of Tourists and Devotees alike.
