This Temple was built in Alagramam Village in phases during the 17th and 18th Century by the Tamil Nainar community living there, other local villagers too would have lend their helping hand then to build this Temple.  After the Temple was built here it was very easy for the Nainar community people to change their Poonal or Sacred Thread during the Avani Avittam function, because earlier to this they had to travel to distant places for this religious ceremony.  The Presiding Deity here is Lord Adhinathar who is found in the Sanctum Sanctorum.  Lord Parshwanath's Idol was the first one to be installed here.  Lord Varthamana Mahavir who happen to be the last prominent Saint also occupies the Sub Shrine.  For the past 125 years the annual fair is conducted to the Idol of Parshwanath and this festival is go on a period of 10 days throughout the day and night.  There are Sub Shrine for Brahmma Devar and Dharma Devi.  There is a Dwajasthambam and the entire Temple is tiled and cemented.  There is a Maha Mandapam at an elevated point and the Jain Swamiji's who come here go up the steps to be seated in a throne like seat.   Some functions such as Pattabishekam are being conducted.  The Temple comprises of several small Chariots or Vahanam and the entire ceiling is gorgeously painted.
