Gommateshwara Statue is dedicated to Bahubali or Kammateeshwara who is believed to be the son of First Theerthakar Adhinath. This Temple has one of the world's tallest monolithic statue for Lord Bahubali which is of height 57 feet. This is one of the free standing statue of the entire world. This Temple is located on Vindyagiri Hill . This Statue was built by the Minister and Commander of the Ganga Dynsaty in 983 CE.  According to Jainism this Statue represents Peace, Non Violence, Sacrifice and to lead a Simple Life. Mahamastakabhisheka is performed once in every 12 years and many Jain Devotees living around the globe visit this Temple during the Grand event.
