Gurudwara Shri Manji Shib is situated 11 Kilometers from the  Ludhiana City. This place holds great significance in the historical background of Sikhism. The Gurudwara reflects yet another landmark in the life of the 10th Sikh Guru, Guru Gobind Singh. It was constructed in memory of Guru Gobind Singh.  It is believed that His Mother and four Sons who  were martyred by Moghuls. The tenth Sikh Guru abandoned his fort and came to Macchiwara. This is the place where the Moghuls killed his family.  It was Ghani Khan and Nabi Khan who came to the rescue Guru Gobind Singh even ignoring their own life.  He was carried to Alamgir in this Palanquin.  When He came to  Alamgir Bhai Naudha presented a Horse to Guru Gobind Singh. During his journey towards Macchiwara he rested in this place where the current Gurudwara is constructed. Guru Gobind Singh wanted water but non of his followers could find pure water, because of which Guru Gobind Singh shot an arrow into the ground and  suddenly water gushed out. Currently this place is converted into a Tank and it is named as Tirsar or Arrow Lake. Guru Gobind Singh said that whoever come to visit this Holy Tank with full faith will get rid of their pains and worries. This Gurudwara has become a major tourist attraction. There is a lungar inside this complex where food are offered to all people visiting this Gurudwara. The festival of Gurudwara Manji Sahib of Punjab is celebrated in a grand manner every year during December. The congregational Pooja of this Gurudwara is performed by Katha Vaacha and highly skilled Priests.  The Palanquin that Guru Gobind Singh escaped  from Moghul rulers is still preserved in this Gurudwara.
