This Church is one of the Oldest Church in Ooty. Initially this Church Complex was used as a School during weekdays and Indian Christians used to do Prayers then on Sundays. In the year 1858 this Holy Complex was offically recognised as a Church. In the year 1858 this Holy Complex was offically recognised as a Church. George Uglow Pope, Tamil scholar and Translator worked very hard in developing this Chruch. This Church follows the Gothic and Tudor Architectural Styles. This Church gains prominence since it is strategically located in a Tourist Place. This Church Serves over 500 families. There are many Plaques around the Chruch Complex which gives vivid memories of the beloved ones. This Church lies on the banks of Pykara Lake. Prayers are delievered in the local language.
