The Presiding Deity is Goddess Amba Devi Or Bhawani Devi.  Ambala City derives its name from Goddess Amba Devi.  This Ancient Temple is one of the Major Pilgrimage Centre.  The beautifully carved out Pillars are an added attraction to this Temple.  The Wall Carvings goes on to show the rich artistry of those era.  This Temple is listed as one of the Major Tourist attraction of Haryana.  The Goddess is fed between 12 Noon to 1 PM by the Temple Prohits and during this time no Devotees are allowed inside the Temple Premises.  There are Free Dharmasalas for the Devotees apart from paid lodges.  Free Food / Prasadh are distributed to all Devotees who come here.
