The Presiding Deity of this Temple is Goddess Jhula Devi who is none other than Goddess Dhurga. The name Jhula Devi is derived since the Goddess Durga is found seated on a Wodden Jhula or Cradle. Devotees who visit here have a habit of tieing a bell and praying and once when their wishes are fulfilled they make it a point to come here again and tie a second bell. This Temple is located in between a dense forest filled with wild animals on a picturesque ambiance befitting a hill station and hence lots of devotees from all over india visit here as tourists too. This is one of the oldest Temple in Uttarakhand which dates back to 8th Century.
