The Presiding Deity of this Temple is Lord Kabileshwarar and He is an incarnation of Lord Shiva. This Temple is located on a small rock called Kabilar Kundru in between River Pennaru. This place is the place where saint Kabilar gave his life by doing Vadakirrutal or Starving to death by facing north in order to show his respect to his beloved friend King Paari. This Temple is being maintained by Archeological Survey of India.
