The Presiding Deity of this Temple is Mata Sheetla Devi and She is the wife of Guru Dronacharya who was known as the renowned teacher of Pandavas and Kauravas. This Temple is located on Sheetla Mata Road in the heart of Gurugram city. Initially the Presiding Deity was known as Kripai which later changed to Lalitha and finally the original name Mata Sheetla was concluded. This Temple was built by Chaudhri Singh Ram who came to Gurugram 3 centuries ago and built this beautiful Temple. The current Temple complex was built in the 18th century by the Jat King Jawahar Singh of Bharatpur in memory of the victory over Mughals. This Temple is dedicated to Sheetla Mata since during her life time She Devoted herself to treat the poor and sick people suffering from small pox. Navarathri and Durga Pooja is celebrated in a grand manner.
