Shree Annapoorna Temple is located in Kranti Kriplani Nagar, of Indore. The Presiding Deity of this Temple is Annapurna Devi. This Temple is one of the famous and oldest Temple in Madhya Pradesh. This Temple was built in the 9th Century AD and the Idol of installed in this Temple in the year 1959 Maha Mandaleshwar Swami Prabanandagirimharaj. There is a Welcome Arch and on either side of it there are totally 4 life size elephant idols kept. The main entrance is around 100 feet tall and was built in the year 1975 in a whopping 2 Acres of land. The Presiding Deity of this temple is Goddess Annapurna whose Idol is around 3 feet tall in the Sanctum Sanctorum. The Idols of Goddesses of Annapurna along with Saraswathi and Kali are seen in the sactum Sanctorum. This Temple has been built on the lines of Madurai Meenakshi Amman Temple and there are striking similarities between the two Temples. This temple has a Sub Shrine for Lord Krishna where various images or Lord Krishna are depicted with stories. A Preaching Hall too is available where Divine functions too could be held. The 14 feet talk of Lord kasi Vishwanath which is seen seated on a Lotus is one of the primary attractions of this Temple. Apart from this there are Sub Shrines for Lord Shiva, Lord Hanuman and Lord Kala Bhairava. The Temple’s Architecture stands as a testimony to the Craftsmanship and the manner in which the Temple had been built over the years. The continuous ringing of the Divine Bells give a positive vibe to the minds of all visiting Devotees. The Temple maintains a Goshala where Cows and calves are very well taken care of. Ther is ample car parking space  available at the rear of the Temple. It’s a must visit Temple for any Devotee coming to Indore.
