The Presiding Deity of this Temple is Goddess Badrakali and She is an incarnation of Goddess Sakthi. This Temple is located in Rangampet area of Tadkamalla Village in Warangal District. The Main Deity is made of a stone image in a sitting posture with a Crown on Her Head. She has a pair of fierce looking eyes and having eight arms, all fully loaded with weapons. This Temple is one of the oldest Temples of this area and it is located on a hill top between the two cities of Warangal and Hanamkonda. The Temple is supposed to have been built in 625 AD by King Pulikasin II of the Chalukya Dynasaty andit was built purely to celebrate his war victory. Later the Kakathiya Kings adopted this Temple and considered Goddess Badrakali as their Kula Devatha. This Temple was not looted by Allaudin Khilji since the Kakathiya King cleaverly negotiated a truce by offering them Gold and Precious Dimonds. Vasantha Navarathri and Sharan Navarathri are celebrated in a grand manner here.
