Sree Lashmi Narasimha Swami Temple is located on a small hillock in Singarayakonda. This Temple is believed to be built in the year 1443 and it had been renovated multiple number of times during the reign of the Vijayanagara Kings. There is a Welcome Arch on the main road. There is a motorable ghat road leading to the Temple and on either side of the small ghat road are thick dried up forest. Apart from this road there is also a flight of Foot Steps through which Devotees can climb up this Temple. There is another Welcome Arch  on the Hill Top where the steps end and the Devotees enter the Temple premises. The Temple has a 5 tiered Rajagopuram which is East facing and on either side of the main entrance there are two Dwara Baalakas. Apart from this Rajagopuram there is another smaller Rajagopuram which is South facing and this is just 3 tiered. On entering through the East facing Rajagopuram there is a huge Dwajasthambam which is placed on a pedestal. There is a Bali Peedam too which is fully smeared with Turmeric and Kumkum. It is believed that Demon Kharasura was an ardent Devotee of Narasimha Swamy and requested Him to grant a boon for which Lord Narasimha Swami told  Kharasura that his boon would be given to him during Rama Avathar. This agitated the Demon and he started vanquishing this area. Rama came to know that Demon Kharasura was a staunch Devotee of Lord Narasimha Swamy and hence installed an Idol of Lord Narasimha Swamy and Prayed and then Lord Rama killed Demon Kharasura. It is also said the Naradha Muni did Penance for Narasimha Swamy here and so He appeared to Naradha Muni as Varaha Narasimha Avathar. Hence Varaha Lakshmi Narasimha Swamy Temple  was built here. The name of the Presiding Deity is Bhoo Varaha Lakshmi Narasimha Swamy. The threshold of the Moolasthanam is gold plated with Garudalwar and Anjaneyar on either side of it. Bhuvaraha Swami looks resplendent and majestic in the Sanctum Sanctorum. The Urchavamoorthi Idol of the Presiding Deity is seen with His two Consorts, Sri Devi and Bhoo Devi and along with them the Alwars are kept closeby. The top portion of the gold plating consists of Images from the Dasavatharam. His Consort here is known by the name Rajalakshmi Thaayar and She occupies a Shrine in a multi pillared Mandapam. Likewise there is another multi pillared Sub Shrine for Andal too on the other side. On the outer peripheral there is a Temple Office, Temple Kitchen or Madapalli and a Yaaga Saalai. There is another building closer to the smaller 3 tiered Rajagopuram in which most of the Temple’s Divine Vahanams are stored and kept. All the Gopurams here are in white colour and they refrain photography and video. The Temple follows the Thengalai Vaishnava Sampradhaya. Midway to the hill there is a huge Idol of a Sangu and Chakaram with Garudalwar and Anjaneya Swami on either side of it. The Thengalai Thiruman mark is also found to be drawn as an Idol. The Temple has a Pushkarani which is in a defiled state and needs to be cleaned. Devotees coming to the Temple should be cautious of the monkey menace. Narasimha Jayanthi, Sri Rama Navami, Vaikunda Ekadesi are celebrated in a great fanfare. Devotees who wish to get married and settle down in life come here and pray and it is believed that their wishes are soon fulfilled. This Temple is adored and called as Dakshina Simhachalam.
