This Temple is also Known as Pedhamma Gudi Temple. This Temple is famous among the Devotees due to its grand festival Bonaalu. The Name Peddamma is derived from Two word Pedda and Amma which means Supreme Mother Goddess. The Presiding Deity of this Temple is Goddess Peddamma and She is an incarnation of Goddess Durga. The Presiding Deity is considered to be one of the 11 Village Deities. There is a huge welcome arch in this Temple. Every year Bonaalu festival is celebrated in June and July and this festival attracts lakhs of Devotees from different parts of India. Every year in the month of February, Mahotsavam and Rathotsavam is celebrated in a grand manner. There are Sub Shrines for Lord Ganapathy, Naga Devathas and Goddesses like Lakshmi and Saraswathi. It is believed that Devotees who offer coconut to the Presiding Deity will be removed from all their impediments. There are hundreds of coconut shop outside the Temple complex. At the entrance of the Temple the Devotees place a coin vertically and it is believed that if the coin stands so, the wishes of such Devotees would be fulfilled. Every year Durga Pooja and Navarathri are celebrated in a grand manner.
