The Temple is located in Allinagaram on the outskirts of Theni.  The Presiding Deity of this Temple Pethakshi Vinayagar.  Here Lord Vinayakar is also known as Valampuri Vinayakar. One of the unique aspect of this Temple is that He has the  Brahma Kalasam on His Tusk. There is a Somaskandar Temple very next to this Pethakshi Vinayagar. Initially the Presiding Deity of this Temple was said to be a self manifested Swayambhu. Later the bigger Vinayagar was installed inside the Sanctum Sanctorum. This Temple is maintained and administered by the Pethatchi Ammaiyar and hence this Temple is named after her.  It is believed that Devotees who visit this Temple and Worship Lord Vinayaka  will have a Bright Education, Marriage and Child Boon. People from Theni visit this Temple and Worship this Vinayakar before starting any sort of good deeds. Ayyappa Devotees visit this Temple and and wear Malai and all Vehicles which are heading towards Sabarimalai will stop here to get the Blessings of Lord Vinayaka. The most interesting fact of this Temple is that There are separate Shrine for Lord Anjaneya and He can be seen along with His Mother Anjanai which is very rare.
