It is listed in the 276 Thevara Paadal Petra Sthalam. The Temple has a five tiered East facing Rajagopuram. Devotees may have to climb down four or five steps to reach the Temple premises. The Idol of Adhikaara Nandhi could be seen beneath the five tiered Rajagopuram. The area between the Rajagopuram and the Dwajasthambam is made up of a multi pillared Mandapam. The Idols of Thirumalai Naayakar and his Consort, Somasundareshwarar, Minister Chokkappa Naicker with his Consort and Sri Ponnanaiyal are seen facing the Moolasthanam. There is a tall Dwajasthambam or Kodimaram, a Neivedhya Peedam or Balipeedam and a Nandhi Vaahanam facing the Moolasthanam. There is an Idol of Karuppanaswamy facing the Rajagopuram. On either side there is an Idol of Irattai Pillayar and Murugan facing the Rajagopuram. The Temple has several multi pillared Mandapams all over. Proceeding to the Moolasthanam there are two huge coloured Dwara Baalaka Idols who stand guard. Closer to the Moolasthanam there are two more Dwara Baalagas and beside each of them is a Vinayagar and Murugan's Idol. In the East facing Sanctum Sanctorum Sri Pushpavaneswarar is in the form of a Shiva Lingam and He looks resplendent from His Moolasthanam.  Around the Koshtam of the Moolavar the following Idols are seen and they are as follows Dhakshinamoorthy, Lingothbhavar, Durgai and Chandikeshwarar. In the inner peripheral there are Idols of Ganapathy, Juradevar, Somaskandar, 63 Naayanmaars, Sapthamathas, Saraswathi, Mahalakshmi, Valli Devasena Samedha Subramaniyar Urchavamoorthy and Naalvar. Facing the Moolasthanam are the Idols of Suryan and Chandran with their respective Consorts, Bala Ganapthy, Veduva Lingam, Kasi Lingam, Kaala Bhairavar, Saneeswaran, Yaaga Vinayagar and Palaniandavar who face Westwards. Devotees may have to climb 5 to 6 steps to reach the Shrine of the Ambal. There are two Dwara Baalakis who stand guard here and they are known as Nandhi and Bringi. Apart from these two Dwara Baalagis there are two more Dwara Baalakis who stand guard closer to the Shrine of the Ambal and they are known as Yogini and Bhogini. The Ambal is known here as Sri Soundarya Nayagi Ambal and She is in a standing posture facing East.
