This Lord Sri Ram Temple is located in Chikmagalur hill station just a few Kms away from the Chikmagalur in a place called Hiremagalur. The Sanctum Snactorum of the Temple is built in a typical Hoysala style whereas several other portions of the Temple are similar to Dravidian and Vijayanagara style. According to the Skandha Purama Lord Rama gives dharshan to Saint Parasurama in his original marrigae posture with Goddess Sita on his right side. This was done on the request of Sage Parasurama. The Temple also has lovely Idols of nicely sculptured Kalingamardana, Sugriva, Yoganarasimha, Madhvacharya, Ramanujacharya, Alwars, Vedanta Desikas. Out of the 1200 Rama Temples in India this is the only Temple where the Idols of Lord Rama, Sita and Lakshmana are tilted to the left side which makes it unique. The Idols of Hayagriva, Narasimha, and Krishna, are sculpted on the outer walls of the Garbhagraha and Sukhanasi. Lakshmi, Hanuman, Garuda, and Ganapati are also depicted. One must never miss seeing this Temple to get His Divine Blessings.
