After the Chalukya period this Temple was almost destroyed during the Battle of Wandiwash and was in almost ruins. But now this Sri Ranganathar Temple has taken a new look. This Temple is situated in the Market area of Vandavasi adjacent to Jalagandeswarar Temple. The Presiding Deity is Sri Ranganathar and his Consort is called as Ranganayaki. This God is also called as Bala Ranganathar. Veera Anjaneyar, Chakrathazwar and Andal have separate Sannadhis. A series of Naagar Idols have been kept on the rear side of the Temple.
