The Presiding Deity of this Temple is Lord Venkatachalapathi, an incarnation of Lord Vishnu. The Idol of Lord Venkatachalapathy was brought here by Swami Vijayendra Theertha. This Temple was Looted Time & again by European Invaders but was resuscitated successfully. This Temple also has Shrines for Lord Hanuman, Lord Garuda, Lord Brindavan, Lord Ganapathy and Goddess Mahalakshmi. The Temple has Statues of Vijayanagara Kings and Swami Vijayendra Theertha. There is a Huge Bronze Bell & that in Olden Days the Chiming of this Temple Bell could be heard miles away from here. The Temple is built in a sprawling area with huge structures drawing lakhs of devotees on auspicious days.
