This Masjid is also called as Jamiya Masjid or Jamma Masjid. This Mosque was built by Adil Shah-I who fought against Vijayanagara Empire by joining hands with the Deccan Sultans in the Battle of Tailkote in the 1565.  To commemorate this victory Adil Shah-I built this Mosque.  It has many towering Arches, beautiful Aisles, Huge Halls and the entire Mosque complex is crowned using an onion dome. This Mosque was built by following Adil Shahi Architecture since Adil Shah was the master mind behind this Mosque structure. Though this Mosque looks very big it’s structure is incomplete since two Minarets are missing.  Central Mihrab has lines from the Holy Quran. This is considered to be one of the largest Mosques in India and it has been built on a sprawling campus  of one lakh square feet. The interior walls are inscribed with holy lines from Quran.  Inside the Mosque Campus there is a very big Courtyard and a Water Tank.  The main Mosque complex is 170 meter tall and has 9 Arches and a  Huge Dome and the floors are decorated using 2250 tiles. Since this Mosque has historic importance people from all walks of like must visit this Mosque during their life time.
