Dragon Palace Temple, Kamptee, Nagpur, Maharashtra

This is a Buddhist Temple located in Kamptee, Nagpur and is also known as the Lotus Temple.  It has an Entrance Arch with a long pathway on either side of which a lush green garden is well maintained.   The sprawling lawn which is landscaped is  a visual treat to watch.   The entire pathway is leading to the Temple is cemented.  This Temple was established in 1999 with funds from a Japan based Charitable Trust called Ogawa Society.  The Temple complex  encompassing the Dragon Palace houses  a carved Sandalwood Idol that is associated with Buddha.  It is one of the most popular Buddhist Temples in India.  The Temple also signifies Indo-Japan friendship.  The actual Temple is located on the first floor of the complex.  It has a huge Meditation Hall with an eye catching Buddha Idol installed in one end.  The entire premises is neat, serene and clean.  This Temple boasts of an International Award for the best concrete structured Temple.
