Dharamshala is located in a beautiful hilly terrain on the edges of Himalaya in Kangra District of Himachal Pradesh. Dharamshala gains more significance since its the birth place of Dalai Lama. The Temple is surrounded on most sides with lush green Tea Garden. The road l;eading to this Temple goes through Forest area and tea gardens leaving the Devotees stunned by its natural beauty.  The full name of the Temple is Shri Kunal Pathri Matha Temple. This Temple is located very close to Kotwali Bazzar. The Presiding Deity of this Temple Is Kunal Pathri Matha and She is believed to be an incarnation of Goddess Durga. It is said that the skull of Goddess Sakthi fell here after Her Death. There is a Wet Stone in this Temple and it is believed that Goddess Sakthi is immortalized in it and hence the stone remains moist all the time. Even during peak summer when the stone starts drying up sudden rain comes making the stone wet yet again. There is a stone staircase and an arched gateway leading to the Sanctum Sactorum which seems to be inside a cave like structure. In a nutshell this is a rock cut Temple and a well known Shakthipeeth.There are beautiful carvings of vrious Gods and Goddess on the walls of this Temple. Devotees who come and Pray to Her are Blessed immensely with health, Wealth and Prosperity for the rest of their life. Everyyear an Annual Fair takes place during the months of March and April. Durga Pooja is celebrated in this Temple in a grand manner. Ashtami and Ram Navami functions too are celebrated with great fanfare.
