This Temple was built in the year 1835 and is located very close to the famous Mahalaxmi Temple.  The Temple gets its name after its founder Dadaji Dhakji and is set to be more than 2000 years old.  The Presiding Deity of this Temple is Dhakleshwar Mahadev and He is an incarnation of Lord Shiva.  His Consort here is Goddess Parvathi.  There are four Chambers and each God occupies one Sub Shrine.  There are Sub Shrines for Lord Ganesha and Lord Subramanya.  It is generally believed that anyone coming to this Temple will get all their ailments and will have bright and prosperous future.  This is one of the oldest Temple in Mumbai City. This Temple was renovated and reopened for Devotees in the year 2008.  The way this Temple has been built out of huge stones is simply astonishing.  Also, the way this Temple has come up close to the shores of Arabian Sea is simply amazing for any Devotee visiting this picturesque Temple.  Unlike other Mumbai City Temples this Temple of Dakleshwar Mahadeo is not cramped and it has got a huge porch and a Idol of Sacred of Nandhi.    Maha Shivarathri is celebrated in a grand manner and during this festival entire Temple complex is decorated using colourful lights.
