Matha Mansa Devi Temple is situated on a hilltop known as Bilwa Parvath on the Shivalik Hills. This is the Southernmost part of the hill chain of Himalayas. The Temple is surrounded by lush green forestry all around. The Presiding Deity of this Temple is Goddess Mansa Devi. There are two Idols available in the Shrine of Mansa Devi. There are two ways to reach the Temple. Devotees can climb up the hill through the footsteps and reach the Temple premises.There is a rope car facility too available here in recent days and this rope car facility is known as Mansa Devi Udankhatola. Goddess Mansa Devi is believed to be a form of Sakthi. Some consider Her as the Sister of Naaga or the Serpant God. This Temple is said to be very religious to several people and this Temple is referred as Bilwaa Theerth which means that it is one of the five Pancha Theerth located within Haridwar. This Mansa Devi Temple in Haridwar along with Chandi Devi Temple and Maya Devi Temple is called as the Trio of Sidhpeeth. Since this Temple is located in a picturesque ambience in the midst of a hilly terrain it is thronged all through the year not only by the local Devotees but by tourists who come here in huge numbers.
