Bharat Matha Temple is also called as Bharat Mata Mandir and it is located in a place called Motichur in Haridwar on the Banks of River Ganga. Bharat Mata Mandir represents the whole of India. It is a tall Temple with 8 floors representing various Freedom Fighters and Patriots who fought for the ske of India. The Temple was built by Swami Sathyamitranand Giri who estabilished it in an emphatic way. Late Indira Gandhi former Prime Minister had the Honour of declaring the Temple open. There is a Bharat Matha Idol in the first floor denoting Mother India. The second floor of the Temple is named as Shoor Mandir dedicating it to the Late Indian Heros. The third floor represents the Indian Women and is known as Matru Mandir dedicating it to the Women Stalwarts Savithri, Meera etc. The fourth floor represents various Saints and Sages of different religions and this floor is known as Saint Mandir. The fifth floor is the Assembly Hall with exquisite paintings of gorgeous colours depicting the peaceful co-existence of various religions of India. The sixth floor has dedicated towards the Hindu Goddess Sakthi. It features several paintings and Idols of various forms of Goddess Sakthi. The seventh floor is totally dedicated towards Lord Vishnu. Here different Incarnations or Avathars of Maha Vishnu is described in Text and Images. The eighth floor belongs to Mahadev or Lord Shiva. Here several Images and Idols of Mahadev is displayed for the sake of the Devotees. The total height of the building comprising of the above 8 floors is around 180 feet and they have installed a lift facility for the sake of Devotees and Tourists. It would easily take around 3 hours to visit this Temple fully. A thorough visit to this Temple by a Devotee would give a feeling as though they had visited the entire cross sections of India. This Temple is situated opposite to the Rajaji National Park.
