This Sathyanarayan Temple was initilaly started in a very humble way in Sukhjit Nagar / Shivaji Nagar area of Kapurthala in Punjab. It is one of the oldest Temples of this locality having been started in the year 1950 on the eve of Basanth Panchami with the Blessings of Mukund Hariji and Thilakraj Sharmaji along with the local help of all citizens of this area. The Presiding Deity of the Temple is God  Satyanarayan Bhagwan who is an incarnation of Lord Maha Vishnu. The Satyanarayan Pooja done here on Full Moon Days is one of the best and it attracts a large number of Devotees from far and near. There are also Sub Shrines for Radhakrishna, Maa Vaishno Devi, Maa Santhoshi, Maa Saraswathi, Ram Dharbar, Shiva, Parvathy, Sanee Bhagwan etc. In recent years the Might and Power of this Temple has spread far and wide attracting a lot of Devotees from all nearby places.
