Shahi Jamia Mosque is one of the ancient Mosques of Andhra Pradesh.  This Mosque is filled with rich architecture and cultural heritage. This Mosque is open to people from all walks of life. This Mosque is located in the Heart of Adoni City near the Market and hence this place is always crowded. Shahi Jamia Mosque was built by Siddi Masood Khan who was the Governor of Adoni during the Bijapur Sultan era. Masood Khan bought this land from Mohammed Shahnaz for  Rupees 77,000/-  and spent nearly 20 lakh Dinars for constructing this beautiful Mosque complex.  It was built by Iranian Engineers under the guidance of Malli Sandal. This Unique aspect of this Mosque is that the area of this Mosque is same as that of the Kaaba in Mecca.  In front of the Mosque complex there are fifteen black slabs where the inscriptions about this Mosque are written in Arabic and Persian. The two main Minarets are decorated using chains. There is a High School inside this Mosque complex which is called as Masoodia Arabic High School and it is named after Siddi Masood Khan.  The Mosque is built in around 10 acres of land and it can easily accommodate around 1000 Worshippers at a time.
