Sri Thirumalai Kumara Swami Temple is a hilltop Temple located in Panpozhi which is close to Tenkasi. There is a Welcome Arch at the foot hill of the Temple where the ghat road and the foot steps begin. The Temple authorities charge Rs.50/- for all four wheelers using the ghat road to reach the Temple. There is a huge car parking atop the Temple premises. It is said that long ago The Priest of Thirumalai Kaali Amman Temple had a dream in which it said that a Murugan or Kumaraswamy Idol is buried under a Bamboo bush. It is said that the King of Pandalam heard this story and took the Priest to find out the Bamboo bush. The duo found an army of Ants heading towards a particular place and when they dug out and excavated they found out the Presiding Deity of Thirumalai Kumara Swami. Hence they brought it out and installed it here with great reverance. There is a pillared Welcome Arch leading to the Temple and the first Sub Shrine is that of the Uchi Pillayar who is East facing. Devotees may have to climb 15 to 20 steps to view the Ucchi Pillayar. Beneath a Arasa Maram there is a Sub Shrine for Thiruppani Vinayagar. There is a South facing entrance with a Gopuram and there are coloured Idols placed on top of this Gopuram. Devotees may have to climb a few steps to the reach the multi pillared Moolasthanam. There are two Dwara Baalagas standing guard here. There is a huge Dwajasthambam or a Flag Staff, a Neivedhya Peedam along with a Mayil Vaahanam or a Peacock facing the Sanctum Sanctorum. In the East facing Moolasthanam Arulmigu Thirumalai Kumara Swami could be seen in a standing posture with four hands. Just outside the Moolasthanam is the Urchavamoorthy Idol. In the inner peripheral there is a South facing Bhairavar who is seen in a standing posture. Likewise Kanni Vinayagar and a Sastha along with Naga Devathas Sub Shrine is also seen here. Thee are various options to see the Presiding Deity. Devotees can have a free darshan and view Thirumalai Kumaraswamy from a distance. Otherwise they can pay Rs.20/- or Rs.100/- and such Devotees are allowed to have a closer glimpse of the Presiding Deity. The Temple has facilities to draw a Golden Chariot for which they have to pay a sum of Rs.1,200/-.  6 Karthigai Pengal viz. Thula, Amba, Varthyenthi, Megenthi, Amaragenthi and Nitharthani's Idols are embossed on the walls of the Temple. Circumambulating the Temple is a great experience and the surrounding ambience simply thrills the Devotees, especially Kids. Facing one of the Gopurams here are two staircases and on either side of them two huge balck peacocks have been etched. This is truly eye captivating and a many Devotees take a snap of it to preserve the scene for posterity. There is a North facing Thirumalai Kaliamman Sub Shrine. The Sthala Viruksham of this Temple is a Puliya Maram or a Tamarind Tree and a Murugan Idol along with a few Naga Devathas are kept beneath it and neatly fenced. The Temple has a very modern Pushkarani named as Poonjunai and the Saptha Kannigaigal are kept close to it. There is a Temple Office and a Temple Library functioning at the hilltop. They have an Annadhana Koodam for the sake of the Devotees. There is a shop which sells Divine Pooja Articles, Toys, Souvenirs and Prasadams. The Temple offer facilities for Tonsuring and not only Kids but several elders too get their head tonsured and remove their hair. This Temple is considered as a Nakshthra Temple for those born under the Visaka Star.  Thai Poosam, Skanda Shasti, Aadi Kiruthigai, Thiru Karthigai, Vaikasi Visakam are some of the festivals celebrated with great fanfare.
