Sri Kachaleeswarar Temple is situated in Parrys Corner of Chennai. The Presiding Deity of this Temple is Sri Kachaleeswarar or Kachabeswarar who is an incarnation of Sri Shiva. He Blesses His Devotees along with His Consort Goddess Soundarambikai or Azhagambikai. This Temple was constructed on the land belonging to Dubash Kalavai Chetty in the year 1725. This place was called as Kachali Pagoda during the British Period. This Temple is a replica of Kachaleeswarar Temple in Kanchipuram. The first Kumbabikesham of this Temple was performed in the year 1728. On 20th February 1984 this Temple underwent  a major renovation and a Maha Kumbaabishekam was performed again on 9th July 1989. Chithirai Brahmmothsavam, Maha Shivarathri, Panguni Uthiram etc are celebrated in a grand manner. This is a Naaga Dhosha Parihaara Sthalam and Devotees having Naga Dhosham come here and do specific Prayers to come out of the Dhosham.
