Mantralayam is a Temple Town located in Kurnool District of Andhra Pradesh.  River Thungabadra flows close to Mantralayam.  Abaya Anjaneya Swami Temple is a newly constructed one located on the  Mantralayam to Raichur Main Road close to the Manthralayam Temple Ghoshala and the Welcome Arch.  Lord Anjaneya Swamy or Hanuman is the Presiding Deity here and He is around 33 Feet tall made out of rock solid stone.  He is mounted on a Lotus Shaped Pedestal and is easily visible to any Devotee from the roadside also.  It is said that this 33 feet Monolithic stone Idol was sculpted in 18 months with great dedication and hardwork. It was transported to Mantralayam for installation in an 88 wheel trailer which itself is a record of sorts.  He is found in a standing erect with a Abhayahastha Posture on His Right Hand and with  a mace on His Left Hand. Another smaller Idol of Lord Anjaneya Swami is placed before the Main Deity.  There are two Elephant kept on either side of the steps leading to the Sanctum Sanctorum.  The Temple has got a compound wall with a metallic gate and a security person is posted there round the clock.  The Temple has a vast greenery beside it.  It is kept meticulously clean and is manintained by Sri Ragavendra Swamy Mutt, Mantralayam.  Hanumath Jayanthi and Sri Rama Navami are the two important festivals that are celebrated here on a large scale. This Temple, though new is considered to be very powerful and since it is located very close to Mantralayam Ragavendra Swamy Temple Devotees could afford to visit it with effortless ease.  Hence there is a steady flow of Devotees who keep coming here to worship Him.  No trip to Mantralyam Temple Town is complete without a visit to this particular Temple of Sri Abhaya Anjaneya Swamy Temple.
