Muthala Parameshwari Amman Temple is located in Paramakudi Town and this Goddess is considered as the Gaurding Deity of not only Paramakudi Town but also for the entire Ramanathapuram District. In the Sanctum Sanctorum She is seen seated on a Lotus shaped pedestal holding a Trident, a Skull, a Kataka and a Udukkai in Her four hands and facing Her is a Simha Vaahanam.  The Sthala Viruksham is a Kadambha Tree and the Holy Water is Vaigai Theertham.
