Pirappanvalasai is a distant village located on the way to Rameswaram and it is situated in Ramanathapuram Taluk. There is a South facing Welcome Arch close to the main road. This Welcome Arch shows the coloured Idols of Sri Murugan, Sri Pamban Swamigal and Sri Arunagirinathar. The actual Temple is East facing with a small entrance. Many refer this Temple as a Dyana Sthalam or Sri Mayuravahana Peruman Sri Pamban Swamigal Temple. 

This Temple has been built in a multi pillared Mandapam with a Gopuram which is East facing containing the coloured Idols of Sri Murugan, Sri Pamban Swamigal and Sri Arunagirinathar. To the left of these Idols is a red coloured illuminated Vel or Spear. The entire flooring of this multi pillared Mandapam is beautifully tiled. Beyond this multi pillared tiled Mandapam is a small Neivedhya Peedam or Bali Peedam and a Peacock or Mayil Vaahanam which looks West facing the Moolasthanam. To the left of these is a metallic Divine Spear or Vel. In the East facing Sanctum Sanctorum the Presiding Deity of Sri Murugan is seen in a standing posture holding His Divine Vel. Just before this is the East facing Idol of Sri Pamban Swamigal who is seen in a sitting posture. The entire ambience of the Sanctum Sanctorum is seen silver plated. Just before the Moolasthanam is an East facing Idol of Sri Vinayagar which is on the left side. On the right are two twin black Idols of Sri Arunagirinathar and Sage Agasthiyar. The Urchavamoorthy Idol of Sri Pamban Swamigal is also seen here and is North facing. 

Devotees in and around this village make it a habit to visi this Temple to seek the Divine Blessings of Sri Murugan and Sri Pamban Swamigal alike. Since this Temple is very close to Sri Ramanatha Swamy Temple in Rameswaram there is a steady inflow of Devotees at any given time of the day. Devotees visiting here can circumambulate the Temple through its outer peripheral for which a cemented flooring is seen. The Vimanam of this Temple looks splendidly designed and is eye captivating to the Devotees who see it. The Temple has enormous vacant space and they maintained a Pasumadam or Ghoshaala to the rear of the Temple. Some areas of the Temple has been maintained very well with plants and saplings. The Temple has a huge Madapalli and Annadhana Koodam for the sake of the Devotees. The Temple has adequate car parking space where Devotees can safely park their vehicles with ease. Shasti, Kiruthigai, Vikasam etc are celebrated with great fanfare. The Temple authorities Sri Ravikumar and Sri Kumarvel have to be complimented for the manner in which they Administer this Temple. Male Devotees are allowed either with Pant, Dhoti and Shirt while Female Devotees can come wearing a Saree or Salwar Kameez with a Shawl.
