Its a Hill Temple in Theerthamalai near Harur in Dharmapuri District.  The Presiding Deity is Lord Theertha Girishwarar, an incarnation of Lord Shiva. The Consort of Lord Theertha Girishwarar is known as Goddess Vadivambiga.   A Welcome Arch is found at the entry point leading to the Temple.  It is said that this Temple 1000 to 2000 years old and built by Chola Kings and later by the Vijayanagara Rulers. King Rajendra Chola  had visited this Temple many times during his lifetime.  Apart from the main Shrine, there are Sub Shrines for Lord Hanuman and Lord Siddhi Vinayaka.  The entire Temple area is sorrounded by Theerthas or Lakes.  It is said that Lord Rama had performed two Shiva Pooja in his lifetime.  The earlier one was at Rameshwaram and the latter was here in Theerthamalai.  It is also said that Rama shot an arrow and made Rama Theertham.  Likewise an Hanuman Theeertham is also found here.  The entire Temple vicinity is sorrounded by Medicinal Herbs and Shrubs.  The ten day Masi festival in Feb and March along with Maha Shivarathri draws huge Devotees.  Tonsuring and Ear Boring offers by the Devotees is very famous here.
