The Presiding Deity of this Temple is Nisuma Soodhani Amman and She is considered to be an incarnation of Goddess Sakthi. This Temple is located in Poomal Rauther Koi; Street in keezha Vasal. This Temple was built by Vijayalaya Chola in the 9th century CE. It is Believed that King Raja Raja Chola usied to worship every day. The Presiding Deity is also called as Raavukala Kali or Vada Bhadra Kali. It is Believed that the idol of Presiding Deity is 1160 years old. This Temple has Ardhamandapam, Mahamandapam. The Presiing Deity is in Sitting Posture and she has two arms each hands holding Shulam and A demon can be seen under her feet. Mahakumbhabhishekam was perfoemed on 23rd June 2016. Aadi month is considered as Auspicios month for amman and enitre Aadi month is celebrated in a grand Manner.
